Wampworx Project Portfolio
Gay Head Lighthouse
The Martha's Vineyard Historical Society selected WampWorx to paint the interior of this lighthouse originally constructed in 1856. A historic landmark and functional mariner's beacon, the lighthouse is also a major visitor attraction on the island. After removing centuries of lead paint from the lamp gallery and the 51 foot steel spiral staircase that climbs the brick tower, WampWorx resurfaced the interior metal with marine quality primers and paints. Work was completed on schedule in time to welcome visitors for the 2004 season.
